6. Check this page for accuracy.

7. Click the "Download GEDCOM". GEDCOM is a special type of file that is designed to automatically fill in the information displayed into your PAF program. Remember the location of the saved file.

8. Open your PAF program that you downloaded earlier. Open your file so you see your name on the page with the empty spaces for your ancestors.

9. Click the "import file" button. This is found in the top right corner. It is the disk with the arrow pointing down.

10. Choose the file that you saved in step #7. (This is usually the last name of the person in the #1 on the family search results page.)

11. Double click the father or mother of the name listed on your PAF program page you have open. Choose "Select Existing Individual".

12. Choose "Individual List". Match name and birthdate. Press "OK". That's how you do it. If you have further questions click the question mark above.
